The Centre is an integrated project involving participants in the Centre and the local people who are customers of the services offered. It provides very real and useful services for the village and the surrounding area. The nearest town is four miles away, and as there are no other shops in Kingsley, the Centre is a focal point for the local community.

We have the following services available for the community at the Centre. 

  • Room Hire
  • Office Services - Computer (hire, internet access, word processing, printing); Copy (photocopying, laminating); Communication (telephone answering service, fax, correspondence); Conference halls for hire
  • Café
  • Post Office
  • Village shop
  • Doctor's Surgery
  • Montessori Nursery School
  • Adult Education including possible in-home education
  • Telecottage - offering computer training, internet, e-mail
  • Arts activities
  • Lunch Club
  • Holiday Activities for Children
  • Information service
  • Wildlife Group, and environmental projects

People with disabilities participate in providing all these services; managing, providing customer service and bringing their own expertise as well as acquiring National Vocational Qualifications in administration and customer care.
